In the video for “Nobody Gets Me,” SZA is alone in New York City
A new black-and-white video for SZA’s sophomore album “SOS” has been released. New album SOS by SZA includes a video for the single “Nobody Gets Me.” The singer-songwriter, real name Solana Rowe, sings about her soulmate on a rooftop and around an empty city in the black-and-white video directed by Bradley Calder.
There are 23 tracks on SOS, including Don Toliver’s “Used”, Phoebe Bridger’s “Ghost in the Machine”, Travis Scott’s “Open Arms”, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s posthumous “The Stomp” vocals (“Forgiveness”). Lizzo makes an uncredited appearance on “F2F,” while experimental artist Björk is sampled on “Forgiveness.” SOS comes five years after SZA’s debut album Ctrl, released in 2017.
SZA’s “Nobody Gets Me” follows her recent “PSA” and “Shirt” videos, which feature actor LaKeith Stanfield. In addition to announcing the release date of SOS, Top Dawg Entertainment performed singles “Blind” and “Shirt” on Saturday Night Live last weekend. According to SZA, SOS could be her final album, as the artist recently told Billboard that she doesn’t see her long in music. Although I enjoy creating, writing, singing, and sharing, I don’t know if chasing superstardom or whatever it is I’m supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me or anyone else. “I’m gonna take a good shot, and I’m gonna do my best,” she said.
