New York Man Arrested After Punching Asian Woman More Than 125 Times And Stomping On Her [Video]

A New York man attacked an elderly Asian woman, punching her more than 125 times in the head and body and stomping on her.

This Friday, a 67-year-old Asian woman was coming home late when a man attacked her from behind. CNN U.S. reports police have identified the man as 42-year-old Tammel Esco. The man allegedly hurled racial slurs at the woman during the attack, calling her an “Asian b*tch.”

In the video, he walks up from behind her and knocks her to the floor. The man then punched her more than 125 times, stomped her seven times and then spit on her before walking out of the enclosed area of the woman’s apartment building.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been a total of 10,905 anti-Asian hate crimes against members of the Asian and Pacific Islander community. CNN reports the woman sustained several injuries, including contusions and lacerations to her head and face, along with bone fractures in her face and bleeding in the brain.

Esco has been charged with two felonies, including attempted murder and assault in the second degree involving a 65-year-old. He is expected to appear for a cate date on March 25.
