Trump said the FBI’s search warrant execution at his Palm Beach, Florida resort resembles something from a ‘third-world country’.
Former President Trump on Monday said that his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida is “under siege” by a “large group” of FBI agents conducting a search warrant.
“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said. “It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,” Trump said, alleging that the FBI agents broke into his safe.
“What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee?” he said. “Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”
A source familiar told Fox News that the raid occurred early this morning. The source said agents brought a “safe cracker” and cracked a “relatively new” safe in Mar-a-Lago. The source told Fox News there was “nothing in it.”

Multiple sources tell Fox News the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago is related to the materials Trump allegedly brought to his private residence after his presidency concluded. That matter was referred to the Justice Department by the National Archives and Records Administration, which said it found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence.
Federal law bars the removal of classified documents to unauthorized locations, though it is possible that Trump could try to argue that, as president, he was the ultimate declassification authority.
A source familiar told Fox News that FBI agents went to Mar-a-Lago and looked in every single office, safe, and grabbed documents and boxes without going through them on the property. They took boxes and documents to go through them later.
“They were not being judicious about what they took,” the source told Fox News.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, one of many criticizing the raid, called it “an unprecedented political weaponization of the Justice Department.”
“They’ve been after President Trump as a candidate, as President, and now as a former President,” Noem tweeted. “Using the criminal justice system in this manner is un-American.”
The Republican National Committee (RNC) slammed the raid as a double standard.
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Countless times we have examples of Democrats flouting the law and abusing power with no recourse,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “Democrats continually weaponize the bureaucracy against Republicans. This raid is outrageous. This abuse of power must stop and the only way to do that is to elect Republicans in November.”
Trump was in New York City when the raid was carried out and is now headed to Bedminster, Fox News has learned. An FBI source confirmed that FBI agents from Washington, D.C. who are on the bureau’s Evidence Response Team conducted the raid and notified the Miami Field Office just before.
Per standard protocol, FBI Director Wray and Attorney General Garland were aware of the raid even if shortly before and would have been fully briefed.
A White House official told Fox News it did not have any notice of the reported action and referred all additional questions to the DOJ.

Investigation into documents
The National Archives, charged with collecting and sorting presidential material, has previously said at least 15 boxes of White House records were recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort — including some that were classified.
In early June, a handful of investigators made a rare visit to the property seeking more information about potentially classified material from Trump’s time in the White House that had been taken to Florida. The four investigators, including Jay Bratt, the chief of the counterintelligence and export control section at the Justice Department, sat down with two of Trump’s attorneys, Bobb and Evan Corcoran, according to a source present for the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Trump stopped by and greeted the investigators near a dining room. After he left, without answering any questions, the investigators asked the attorneys if they could see where Trump was storing the documents. The attorneys took the investigators to the basement room where the boxes of materials were being stored, and the investigators looked around the room before eventually leaving, according to the source.
Assessing Trump’s risk if he mishandled White House documents
A second source said that Trump came in to say hi and made small talk but left while the attorneys spoke with investigators. The source said some of the documents shown to investigators had top secret markings.
Five days later, on June 8, Trump’s attorneys received a letter from investigators asking them to further secure the room where the documents were stored. Aides subsequently added a padlock to the room.
In April and May, aides to Trump at Mar-a-Lago were interviewed by the FBI as part of the probe into the handling of presidential records, according to a source familiar with the matter.
“It is a federal crime to remove classified documents wrongly. And so if you are filling out that affidavit and you have to list the crime, you can list that as the crime,” said Elie Honig, a former federal and state prosecutor and a CNN senior legal analyst.
Honig told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront” that the timing of the search held with the longstanding department rule not to execute politically sensitive moves within 90 days of an election.
“Today is just about 90 days out exactly from the midterms, I think maybe 91 or 92 days out. That policy, that may be a reason why they did it today because they want to stay clear of that if they’re interpreting that as a 90 day rule,” he said.
Members of GOP back Trump
Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel claimed in a statement that Democrats “continually weaponize the bureaucracy against Republicans,” and a number of Republican lawmakers came to the former President’s defense on social media.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, wrote that he had “seen enough.”
“Attorney General (Merrick) Garland: preserve your documents and clear your calendar. I’ve seen enough. The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization,” the Republican leader wrote. “When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned.”
GOP Sen. Rick Scott of Florida said that “we need answers NOW. The FBI must explain what they were doing today & why.”
But the chair of the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Trump’s handling of documents, called on the Justice Department to “fully investigate” the former President’s handling of information.
“Presidents have a solemn duty to protect America’s national security, and allegations that former President Trump put our security at risk by mishandling classified information warrant the utmost scrutiny,” Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York said.
“Although details of today’s actions at Mar-a-Lago are still emerging, it is clear that the Department of Justice must fully investigate President Trump’s potentially grave mishandling of classified information.”
But it seems now like this is a Democrat last ditch effort to stop former President Trump from running for president in the 2024 election. Polls shows Trump winning in a landslide fashion if Joe Biden was to be the upcoming opponent. After many attempts to accuse and charge Trump and staff with unprecedented Allegations and cases. Trump has been able to avoid all these claims and fake assumptions by the Far Left of the Democratic Party that they have now weaponized the DOJ. This current administration is using every dictator move they can to arrest the Country and Trump. Single handed they have destroyed the US financial future and Security with Outlanders policies, taxes and gas hikes. Their has been nothing short of horrible actions taking by Democrats to reverse excellent policy put in place by the former president. It’s no longer about the best interest of the people the Democratic Party has become once again the party of Racism, Hatred, Fear mongering, And arrest or destroy anything that my oppose their rule.
This seems to be a last chance for Democrats to stop Former president Trump for running in 2024. But the people can’t understand how does Trump get Raided but the DOJ won’t do anything to Hunter Biden and Biden Family scandal, Hilary Clinton Emails or Benghazi Debacle, Nancy Pelosi husband and sons crooked dealings. All this thing can’t see the light of day but the witch hunt to stop Trump for running and securing a guarantee victory in the upcoming elections..
Now that the Democrats have shown their hands of been crooked and not caring about the American people. This should show how easy it will be in the future for the Big Government policy being injected into by Democrats will reshape our country forever. Republicans should take this opportunity to back Trump and secure their place in the all the upcoming elections this mid term and 2024 because the Democrats have totally fumbled the ball..
Jada Pinkett Smith Not Letting Slap Fallout Get in the Way of Supporting Her Friends
The actress and spouse of Will Smith showed up in support of Debbie Allen and Shonda Rhimes.
Jada Pinkett Smith, seemingly putting her husband’s nonsense behind her, made her first public appearance since Oscars night on Saturday evening. The actress and wife of Will Smith, who took it upon himself to stroll up to Chris Rock and whop him across the face during the Oscars telecast, appeared for red carpet pics with Shonda Rhimes, Debbie Allen, Samuel L. Jackson, and LaTanya Richardson Jackson for the opening of the Rhimes Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.
The Rhimes Center is the new home of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. The organization is over two decades old and its mission statement boasts that “with a focus on disenfranchised Black and Latino communities, the world class faculty and staff members of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy use dance, theater, and performance to enrich, inspire and transform the lives of their students.”
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Rhimes Center was on July 1, 2020. One of the facilities at the Rhimes, a “fly aerial studio,” will be named for Will and Jada, according to Broadway World.
While Jada was all smiles on the red carpet, l’affaire du Slap continues to resonate throughout Hollywood and the entire known universe. (It’s all anyone can talk about at the water coolers on Ganymede.) She has remained quiet about the incident, which began when Rock made a comment about her appearance (and a dated reference to G.I. Jane.) It remains unclear if Rock was aware that the actress has alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. Beyond a vague comment about healing uploaded to her Instagram, she has not officially spoken on the matter.
Also on Saturday, actor Harry Lennix published an op-ed in Variety in which he argued that the 10-year banishment the Academy handed out to Smith is not enough. He called the punishment “little more than an extended time out for a playground bully,” and argued that the King Richard actor must voluntarily return his Oscar to restore honor to the ceremony.

A gunman opened fire and left four people injured in Austin, Texas in the early hours of Sunday as the city hosted its first South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival since the pandemic.
The shooting took place about 2.50am near the Alamo Ritz theatre, a venue for this year’s festival, which closes on Sunday.
The incident at East 6th St and Neches St occurred in a busy downtown area packed with bars and restaurants.
The four people injured were taken to a nearby hospital by emergency responders. Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

SXSW is a popular event which attracts tens of thousands of people. It made its return to Austin this year after a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic.

On Saturday, singers Shawn Mendes and Sebastián Yatra performed at the event, while country star Dolly Parton made her first SXSW appearance on Friday.
Austin’s police department had promised to ensure higher levels of security for the festival after multiple shootings occurred during its final weekend three years ago.

Dame Dash Denies Being Close to Settlement with JAY-Z Over ‘Reasonable Doubt’
Dame Dash denies that he and JAY-Z have reached a breakthrough in an NFT legal battle over JAY-Z’s 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt.
It appears that beef between former Roc-A-Fella Records business partners Dame Dash and JAY-Z is far from over. On Wednesday, it seemed that the two met a conclusion pertaining to JAY-Z suing Dash over an alleged NFT auction of his 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt. A day after alleged settlement talks, Dash went to Instagram to clear up the rumors.
“Please don’t believe this hype we are no where near a settlement,” Dash wrote in a post which feature a screenshot of an article on alleged settlement talks. “They accused me of doing something i did not do and now they have to prove it…and i can sell my share anytime I want #askthejudge.”
Dash also urged JAY-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem “Bigs” Burke to settle the out of court and daring them to respond.
“#jayz and @biggsburke if you wanna settle this holla at me,” he added. “we use to hustle together…court is corny…let’s talk like men for the culture… I dare y’all to respond #doitfortheculture.”
In June 2021, JAY-Z and his lawyer Alex Spiro filed a lawsuit against Dash, accusing him of attempting to auction an NFT version of Reasonable Doubt without permission. While the auction never occurred, the lawsuit alleged that Dash was “frantically scouting for another venue to make the sale.” After the lawsuit was filed, a judge temporarily prohibited Dash from minting Reasonable Doubt as an NFT.
Denying the allegations, Dash claimed that he was attempting to sell his one-third stake of the now-disbanded Roc-A-Fella Records. He also countersued JAY-Z and the former label for $1 million, claiming that Hov was wrongfully claiming streaming rights to Reasonable Doubt for himself.
Prior to Dash’s Instagram post, on Tuesday, Spiro said that JAY-Z and Dash were “in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach a settlement agreement that would resolve this case.”
If a settlement isn’t reached, Spiro said that Hov will file a separate motion barring Dash from selling any portion of Reasonable Doubt.
JAY-Z and Damon Dash might not see eye-to-eye on things these days, but they’re willing to work it out. According to court docs viewed by Complex, Jay’s attorney Alex Spiro revealed at Tuesday’s (March 15) Manhattan federal court hearing that the Roc-A-Fella co-founders are in settlement talks to resolve their lawsuit.
Hov sued Dame in June 2021 after the former Roc executive tried to sell his ownership stake in Reasonable Doubt as an NFT without proper permission. A district judge put an end to the NFT sale attempt by Dame Dash last year when the courts blocked the transaction.
“[Both sides are] in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach a settlement agreement that would resolve this case,” the docs reportedly read based on Spiro’s testimony from Tuesday’s hearing.
Damon Dash responded by countersuing Roc-A-Fella and Hov seeking $1 million in damages claiming he was trying to sell his one-third stake of Roc-A-Fella altogether rather than the album.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the suit says JAY-Z transferred streaming rights to the album to S. Carter Enterprises LLC without authorization from Roc-A-Fella.
“From my perspective, it feels like this was all done to devalue this asset,” Dame told DX in an interview. “I just don’t understand why. What’s odd is that they knew I was only trying to sell one-third, but they’re trying to say I tried to sell the whole thing. But we all know that that’s not the case, so why do they keep saying it? The question is, why is it such a big deal? Why is everyone so scared for me to sell my one-third?”
If no settlement is reached, Complex reports via Spiro that another motion will be filed on behalf of JAY-Z against his former partner to ban him from selling a portion of the album in any capacity.

Howard University Faculty Announces Plans to Go On Strike Over Working Conditions
On Wednesday, multiple Howard University professors and students threatened to strike over alleged negligent working conditions.
The monthlong housing protest with Howard University students may have ended last year, but the institution is catching heat from faculty members. During a demonstration on Wednesday, some university faculty members — including multiple professors and students — threatened to execute a strike beginning next week if their needs aren’t met by Friday.

According to NewsOne, campus tension arises from non-tenured faculty members who’ve voiced concerns on not receiving sufficient benefits including job stability, fair pay and appreciation for their teaching. University workers seek improved conditions from the university, including pay raises to non-union faculty, the investment of tens of millions into the faculty retiree plan and preventing group layoffs during the pandemic.
If their needs aren’t met by Friday, Howard faculty plans to protest beginning Wednesday, March 23rd.
“Throughout our negotiations with the Howard Teaching Faculty Union, we have remained diligent in our engagements with Union representation and consistent in our efforts to reach an agreement,” Howard said in a statement. “Our commitment to a peaceful bargaining process has not changed and we will continue advancing good faith efforts to reach an agreement with the Union and address the needs of adjunct and non-tenure track faculty.”
Last fall, the university made headlines for alleged poor on-campus housing conditions. Protesting students highlighted inadequate dorm conditions where they lived with water damage, mold and pests such as mice and roaches.
On October 12, students coalition Live Movement, began protesting by sleeping in tents and on air mattresses at the school’s Blackburn Center. Civil rights leaders supported the protest, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who visited Howard in November to negotiate agreements between university President Wayne A.I. Frederick and students.
